You deserve to celebrate your wedding at a place that you love and that allows you to enjoy every single moment of your celebration — all of these wedding venues in Pennsylvania and Maryland will allow you to do just that.

Pennsylvania LGBQTIA+ Wedding Venues

Hazelwood Weddings

Hazelwood Weddings is anything but typical when it comes to a wedding venue. Here, you’ll find an intentionally-designed modern venue right in the beautiful Pennsylvania countryside.

Hazelwood Weddings also offers all-inclusive venue amenities and exceptional service to help make your wedding vision a reality. So whether you want to plan a wedding, microwedding, or an elopement you’ll find everything you need and more at Hazelwood Weddings.

Historic Shady Lane

Historic Shady Lane is tucked away on 34 private acres in York County. It has buildings from three different centuries at the venue and is an ideal location for a beautiful Pennsylvania outdoor wedding.

If you want a venue that is historic and has forests, lush gardens, a gorgeous glass greenhouse, and a place that feels like a fairytale, I promise you will not be disappointed by what you find here.

Historic Ashland

Historic Ashland is rich with history but is also still modern. The Ashland experience includes the use of their private grounds, versatile indoor and outdoor venue locations, 10 acres of lush greenery, and so much more.

You can have a wedding here year-round and can exchange your vows underneath a wooden pergola, by a beautiful bridge with a creek in the background, or in a meadow – I mean, what more could you ask for?

Terrain Venues

Terrain Venues has a lush, horticultural setting and is unique with its ever-changing greenery. They have venues in Glen Mills, Devon, and Doylestown that all offer enchanting garden weddings paired with menus inspired by local growers.

What I love about Terrain is that each venue has its own unique vibe and feel to them, but the experience you get is incredible across the board. So, regardless of which location you pick, you are going to find everything you need to have your dream wedding!

They offer an all-inclusive wedding experience, and every Cescaphe venue is professionally designed to stand all on its own.

Attaboy Barrel House

Attaboy Barrel House is a modern venue that is not only a wedding venue but also an aging and barreling space. This gives it a really unique feel to it and creates such a beautiful backdrop for your wedding.

You’ll have access to a private beer garden, an extraordinary beer list, beautiful bistro lighting both indoors and outdoors, and so much more.

This venue has lots of natural light and industrial aesthetics that create a unique feel to the space. It is a great place for you if you love craft beer and a laid-back yet stylish vibe.

How to Know If A Wedding Venue is Openly LBGQTIA+ Affirming

If you’re doing your research on different wedding venues and you want to confirm that they are openly LBGQTIA+ affirming, here are my top tips on how to make sure that your chosen wedding venue will fully support and celebrate your love.

  1. Their website uses non-gendered language when describing marrying couples, wedding parties, getting ready areas, etc.
  2. They’ve included on their website and social media bios that they are LGBTQIA+ affirming and inclusive.
  3. Their wedding galleries on their website and social media show multiple photo examples of LGBTQIA+ couples.
  4. You can see that their recommended vendors include vendors who are also inclusive or openly identify as LGBTQIA+.

I know when it comes to wedding venues and honestly finding any vendor for your wedding as an LGBTQ+ couple, picking inclusive and affirming people is key. Not only is it going to make the entire process easier (because you shouldn’t have to feel like you are coming out to every vendor or face any negativity because of who you love), but it is also going to make your wedding day that much more special.

So, before reaching out to any venue or vendor, running through these points and making sure they are actively showing and celebrating all love is a great way to rule out anyone who isn’t going to be just as excited about you marrying who you love as you are.

Another great place to look is going to be their reviews. Check them out on Google or see if they are on any other sites like EquallyWed, The Knot, etc. See who is leaving reviews and read to see if LGBTQ+ couples in the past have had good experiences with whoever you are looking at.
