Looking for the perfect way to incorporate nature into your wedding? The Terrain PA wedding venues have the perfect mix of greenery and luxury to create a dream space for you and your partner to tie the knot.
With three locations throughout Pennsylvania, this is one of the best places to get married if you are looking for a unique spot that is filled with life. All three of the venues have both indoor and outdoor locations for your ceremony and reception making it perfect for a wedding regardless of the season.
As a Pennsylvania wedding photographer myself, I have been to a ton of different venues around the state. The Terrain Gardens venues are such a stunning place to get married and each one has their own unique charm and vibe to them that make them irresistible.
So, if this sounds like exactly what you are looking for, here are some of the best things about the Terrain PA wedding venues!
About Terrain
Terrain’s journey started back in 2008 as just a garden center and a small cafe. As the property grew in popularity, that small cafe turned into a full scale restaurant and the garden center blossomed into a retail store.
After the success they saw with the garden center, they decided to expand and opened up Terrain at Styers on the property. As that venue continued to grow in popularity, they were able to open a second venue in Devon, Terrain Gardens at Devon Yard in 2018.
Today, there are now three properties, with the newest addition that opened in 2023, Terrain DelVal in Doylestown. Each venue is unique and absolutely stunning with small touches that make your day even more special!
Terrain PA Wedding Venues
With amazing features at each one of them, you really can’t go wrong with any of the Terrain wedding venues. But, let’s take a look at each one and all of the amazing things they offer!
Terrain at Styer, Glen Mills
The Terrain at Styer location was the original venue opened up in Glen Mills. Named after the J. Franklin Styer’s nursery is located on, the property has more than five acres of amazing greenery and plants that create the perfect backdrop for your wedding.
Before your wedding, you can head over to the Mushroom House to get ready before you walk down the aisle. The ceremony can take place in their stunning outdoor gardens that make you feel like you are the only people around.
Not only do you get to walk through the nursery on the way to your ceremony, but you will also get to exchange your vows under their “Wedding Temple” that is almost a century old.
Now, since this is in Pennsylvania, it is not always going to be the perfect weather for outdoor ceremonies. If Mother Nature throws you a curveball on your wedding day, or if you are having your ceremony during the winter, you can instead head into the Hot House to say I do with their living wall behind you.
When it is time to get the party started, you can head into their Garden Shed for your reception. Don’t let the name fool you, though. This spot is so amazing and has plenty of room for a sit down dinner and a dance floor.
When it comes to the important details, the Terrain at Styer location can accommodate anywhere from 30 to 110 guests making it perfect for elopements or slightly smaller weddings.
They are also a bring your own drink property so you can stock up on all of your favorite drinks to serve at your wedding. In addition to that, you’ll have everything from in house catering, all of the tables and chairs for your ceremony and reception, a fire pit and more!
Terrain Gardens at Devon Yard, Devon
Opened back in 2018, the Devon Yard location is a beautiful mix of rustic and industrial. You get to spend your wedding day surrounded by amazing plants and greenery that is constantly changing making each wedding unique.
Aside from the gardens themselves, the venue features a Reception Room that has massive ceilings, reclaimed barn wood floors, a skylight, and string lights hung throughout. Everything combines to create a beautifully unique aesthetic for your ceremony.
Plus, if the weather is not great, you can have your ceremony in here as well instead of in the Ceremony Garden! If you are lucky enough to have an outdoor ceremony, you’ll be surrounded by wisteria trees and say I do under a handmade wirework pavilion.
This location is a bit bigger than the Styer location with a maximum capacity to 140 guests. You’ll also get in house catering, drink packages, a getting ready room, all of the essentials for your ceremony and reception, and of course a fire pit!
Terrain Gardens at Delaware Valley University, Doylestown
Last but certainly not least, we have the newest location, Terrain Gardens at Delaware Valley University. This location recently opened up in mid 2023 and definitely lives up to the reputation of its predecessors.
You and your partner can say I do under their beautiful pavilion in their Ceremony Garden. Not only is there plenty of space here, but the area also looks out over their orchards! There are also always different greenery and flowers blooming throughout the seasons creating a unique feel month to month. Similar to the flagship location, you’ll also find a Terrain Retail Store and a Terrain Cafe here too!
The reception space, Trellis Hall, is a dream space to celebrate the start of your new life together. With a wide open floor plan, string lights and European inspired chandeliers hanging from above, and a living wall along one side, your reception (or indoor ceremony) will be one that you and your guests won’t forget!
The largest of the three properties, Terrain Gardens DelVal can accommodate up to 162 guests making it the perfect place for even larger weddings. You’ll also get sole access to the venue during your wedding day, in house catering, beverage packages to choose from, a getting ready suite, and a fire pit to enjoy throughout the night!
Final Thoughts on Weddings at Terrain, PA
